Amber Bickes, Principal

My name is Amber Bickes and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead and serve as the principal of Playa del Rey Elementary School. I am so fortunate to have worked in the field of education for the past 27 years. I was a classroom teacher (taught grades K-5), the Field Coordinator at ASU, an elementary instructional coach with GPS, the dean of students at Neely Traditional Academy and Gilbert Global Academy, and now serve as the principal of Playa del Rey. 

I am incredibly fortunate to be the principal of Playa del Rey Elementary School. We have a dedicated staff who are committed to ensuring all students receive a high quality, personalized education while instilling a passion for learning. 

While student success is at the core of what we strive to achieve, building strong relationships is an essential part of our learning community.  If we collaborate with one another, we can accomplish and work through any situation. I look forward to approaching this next year as a unified school community and help every student strive to meet their full potential.
